One Direction fans have helped the band break a new VEVO record for the most watched video in 24 hours.
Within the first 24 hours, ‘Best Song Ever’ had achieved 10.9 million views and has since been updated to 12.3 millions views earlier this evening.
The track serves as a promotional single for the group’s upcoming film This Is Us, which hits cinemas on August 30.
The video sees each member of the boyband take on a new guise – Harry Styles is Marcel the marketing geek, Liam Payne is Leeroy the choreographer, Louis Tomlinson is studio exec Jonny, Niall Horan is second studio exec Harvey and Zayn Malik is sexy assistant Veronica.
